Yokai Files introduces one yokai of Japanese folklore in a 30-second vertical short. Each episode is paired with an article on this site that adds what a short video must leave out: names and readings, regional variations, documented behavior, and sources.

Episodes are numbered in production order. New episodes are published on YouTube and TikTok first, and the article follows here.
