What the record says

A raijū fell onto the Nagai family's estate at Iwatsuki and ran round and round the edge of a field until people caught it. It would not eat and died. Stuffed, it looked on the whole like a puppy, with claws as sharp as a bear's and one joint too many in the fold of its hind legs, and coarse bristles growing in tufts through its thin fur. (From Oguri Hyakuman's Toryūkō Zuihitsu.)
