The house on the demonic ridge line turns its sleepers
What the record says
The line of the great ridge running along the mountain is called the nawame, and it is shunned as a line of evil. A house built on the nawame turns its sleepers: in the morning they find themselves lying the other way round.

枕返し（まくらがえし）
From Niigata in 1935 to Ibaraki in 1998, people recorded going to sleep facing one way and waking facing the other. The culprit changes from house to house; the reversal never does.
