The kawabiso that pulled a horse's leg
What the record says
The local kappa, here called the kawabiso, took hold of a horse's hind leg as it was being washed in the river. The horse kicked and the creature's arm came off. When the arm was returned, the kawabiso gave in exchange a jewel that was the base of an excellent medicine.
