The spirit of the falls returns the axe, and telling costs a life

What the record says

The master of Jōren Falls was a spider. A farmer resting at the falls had its thread wound round his leg, moved the thread to a mulberry stump, and the stump was dragged into the pool. Years later the farmer's heir dropped an axe into the pool; the spirit of the spider came up as a beautiful woman and returned it, and when he told others what he had seen, he lost his life.
