The thread on the foot and the mulberry stump
What the record says
A young man resting beside Jōren Falls had a spider begin to wind its thread around his foot. He noticed, slipped the thread off and looped it round a nearby mulberry stump, and a little later the stump was wrenched out of the ground and fell into the basin of the falls.
