The woman on the rock whose scream stopped a wrestler
What the record says
On a stone in the pine grove sat a beautiful woman with her black hair hanging loose. A sumo wrestler passing by went to speak to her; she gave a piercing cry, and he went rigid where he stood. Her black hair drank his living blood, and the next day he died. It was an iso-onna, people said.

磯女（いそおんな）
A 1929 record from Mizuho in Nagasaki describes a wrestler who tried to speak to a black-haired woman sitting on a shore stone at night — and other accounts from the same coastline describe something else entirely under the same name.
