What the record says

An old man going into town one evening saw a boy on the road; even in the dark he could make out the pattern of the boy's kimono. When he went up and spoke to him, the boy vanished without a sound. Coming home by the same road, the old man heard the shaki-shaki of azuki beans being washed at that spot.
