Privacy

Summary

Yokai Night Parade is a static website. It has no accounts, no comment system, and no contact forms. We use Google Tag Manager to measure how the site is used, and embedded YouTube videos connect to YouTube only after you choose to play them. We never collect the text you type into the site’s search box.

Analytics and cookies

This site loads Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) to manage its measurement tags. Measurement helps us understand which yokai, articles, and videos interest readers — for example, which pages are viewed, when an embedded video is played, and how often search and filters are used.

  • When search usage is measured, only the length of the query is recorded, never the text you typed.
  • Measurement tags may set cookies and process technical data such as IP address, browser, and device information, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • We use measurement data in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not run advertising on this site, and advertising storage is always disabled in our measurement configuration.

A consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies.

  • If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default and are only set after you choose “Accept analytics”. Until then, measurement runs in cookieless mode and sends only non-identifying, aggregate signals.
  • Declining changes nothing about how the site works.
  • Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage), not on our servers.
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the page footer.

Embedded YouTube videos

Some pages include YouTube videos. To protect your privacy, no YouTube content loads when a page opens: you see only a locally hosted preview image and a play control. A connection to YouTube is made only after you choose to play a video, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). From that point, YouTube (Google) may process data about the playback as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

If you prefer not to connect to YouTube at all, simply do not press play; a direct link to the video on YouTube is always provided as an alternative.

Articles link to external sites — YouTube, TikTok, source databases, and libraries. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over the data they process once you follow a link. External links are marked and always open explicitly by your action.

Data retention

Aggregated usage measurements are retained under the retention settings of our analytics configuration and are not combined with any other data about you. Our static-hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses in access logs) for operating and securing the service; we do not receive or analyze personal data from them.
